Bringing Hope to the Table
November - December, 2015

For the past 30 years, Kroger’s family of stores has worked closely with Feeding America and its network of local food banks to bring food, funds and hands-on assistance to hunger relief efforts in the communities where our customers and associates live and work. Working side-by-side with more than 80 local food banks, we see first-hand how great the need is in the communities we share. Additional details from Feeding America are to come.

Charity Miles

Feeding America has been chosen as a beneficiary of the newest app, Charity Miles.

Charity Miles is a new free iPhone and Android app that enables people to earn money for charity while walking, running or biking. The app is free and simple to use; just launch the app, choose a charity and either walk, run or bike! The selected charity then earns money for every mile covered. Walkers and runners earn 25¢ per mile and bikers earn 10¢ per mile, all up to an initial $1,000,000.

Charity Miles, LLC is backing the initial $1,000,000 and issuing a worldwide challenge to see if people can earn it for the charities within a year. Funds will be dispersed to food banks based on zip codes.

Tom Thumb's Good Neighbor Program

Do you shop at Tom Thumb? Do you want a super easy way to give back to NTFB? Link your reward card to us and Tom Thumb will make a donation when you shop. Visit the customer service desk at your Tom Thumb, hand them your reward card and tell them you'd like your card linked to NTFB's account. NTFB will receive a percentage each time.
